On Monday, November 3rd, Professor Sofya Aptekar will give the lecture, “Green Card Soldier: Between Model Immigrant and Security Threat” from 3:30-5:00pm in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library Auditorium (Room 404). This event is part of the Speaker Series: Technologies of the State.
Sofya Aptekar is Associate Professor of Urban Studies at CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies. Dr. Aptekar is also an organizer in the Public Higher Education Workers network with Labor Notes and a long-time activist in the higher education labor movement.
