Humanities Conversations

Given current attention to the question of the content and relevance of the humanities, not to mention threats to national, state, and local humanities funding, many of us at Wake Forest are reflecting on the value of the humanities at large, and on Wake Forest’s distinctive commitment to the humanities in general.

The Humanities Institute is hosting Humanities Conversations, a time for informal faculty discussion and an opportunity for humanities faculty to reflect on our own implication in the latest “humanities crisis,” including the question as to whether we think there is one, and the relevance of the national conversation for what we do here at Wake.

Our next gathering will take place from 4:00-5:00pm on Thursday, March 5 in 301 Reynolda Hall.

RSVP to Humanities Institute Program Coordinator Aimee Mepham by or before Monday, March 2.
